High-Volume Production
AFATAC manufactures turned components in high volumes using multi-spindle lathes and production processes designed to ensure continuity, repeatability and competitiveness.
Multi-spindle turning is particularly suitable for repetitive components intended for continuous supply, where productivity and process stability have a significant impact on the final cost.
Components are manufactured on 6- and 8-station multi-spindle lathes. Any secondary operations are carried out on 8-spindle Wirth & Gruffat transfer machines.
When to Choose Multi-Spindle Turning
Multi-spindle turning is particularly suitable when production volumes are high and the component has stable characteristics over time, justifying the use of dedicated tooling.
This technology is ideal for:
- Medium-large and large production batches;
- Continuous supply;
- Repetitive components;
- Production runs with stable cycles;
- Components suitable for simultaneous machining;
- Production where unit cost is a key factor.
The Advantages of Multi-Spindle Turning
The main feature of multi-spindle lathes is the ability to perform multiple operations simultaneously on different spindles, distributing the production cycle across several workstations.
The main advantages are:
- Multiple operations performed simultaneously;
- High hourly production output;
- Reduced cycle time per component;
- Lower unit costs for high-volume production;
- High repeatability for continuous production runs.
The Added Value of AFATAC
In addition to its production technologies, AFATAC ensures a structured workflow focused on quality, reliability and compliance with the customer’s specific requirements.
Consistent Quality Control
Continuous and consistent monitoring of production processes allows us to maintain high quality standards throughout every stage of machining.
On-Time Delivery
AFATAC stands out for its punctuality and adherence to delivery schedules, thanks to careful planning and efficient organization of production processes.
Technical Project Analysis
Every order is preceded by an in-depth analysis of the technical drawings to identify the production cycle best suited to manufacturing the required components.
Raw Material Control
In addition to verifying the quality certificates for each supplied batch, we carry out rigorous incoming inspections of raw materials in compliance with the specifications required by the customer.
